Wet SystemsWet systems are some of the most common fire sprinkler systems in the market. Through a wet pipe, water is being maintained within the sprinkler. From there, the sprinkler activates at the first detection of smoke or fire.
Many businesses use this type of system due to its simplicity and reliability, ease of use and modification, and low maintenance expense. However, there are also certain disadvantages to the wet systems. These types of fire sprinkler systems are not for environments under sub-freezing conditions. Sometimes, these systems may easily be a source of leakage and damage due to severe impact. |
Deluge SystemsLike the wet pipe systems, deluge systems are a kind of fire sprinkler system. These are connected to a water supply through what is called a deluge valve. It opens or activates through heat or smoke detection where water discharges automatically at the first detection.
These systems are of high velocity because these are made for high-power fire suppression plans. It's entirely different from conventional systems because the nozzles are open and the water flows from every discharge device. Which is why these types of systems are for extra hazard facilities such as power plants, chemical storage facilities and aircraft hangars. |
Pre Action SystemsPre-action fire sprinkler systems are similar to the concept of a dry pipe system. However, pre-action systems effectively hold water from the pipe through an electrically-operated valve. It detects independent flame, smoke, or heat.
Detection is quite different for this system. First, pre-action systems identify a developing fire before it opens the pre-action valve. The water then flows into the piping and create a wet sprinkler system. After that, a signal of release will permit the water to flow and try to douse the fire. |

I have worked with Pro-Fire since joining Tyco at the start of 2018 and I can say that I haven’t had an issue with any site they’ve worked on. The staff are very professional and the work is completed to the highest standard.
The lads that work for Pro-Fire are forward thinking, they don’t ring you up with an issue, they ring you to tell you the issue and with a solution already planned out and the materials they might need to complete it.
The lads are willing to work any time and any hours needed to get the job over the line and they are professional in doing so, they always leave the areas they are working in tidy and always make sure they’re doing what is asked of them.
